Welcome to Our Inter Delegation Events Page
The Maryland Student Legislature (MSL) proudly organizes Inter Delegation Events to promote collaboration and enrich the educational experiences of students from various universities across Maryland. These events are designed to provide students with unique opportunities to engage with the legislative process, network with peers and officials, and gain practical insights into civic governance. From tours of historic sites to engaging debates and visits to significant institutions, our Inter Delegation Events are integral in shaping informed, active leaders who are prepared to drive positive change in their communities.
This summer, the Maryland Student Legislature (MSL) hosted an unforgettable event at Six Flags America, where sixteen enthusiastic students came together for a day filled with thrilling rides, fun, and camaraderie. The event offered an incredible opportunity for MSL members to bond outside the usual legislative setting, enjoying the excitement and exhilaration of one of Maryland’s top amusement parks. Participants not only had a blast on the heart-pounding roller coasters and relaxing water rides but also strengthened their connections with fellow MSL members, fostering a sense of community and teamwork. This summer outing perfectly blended leisure and networking, allowing students to unwind while building lasting friendships and reinforcing their commitment to the MSL's mission. We are grateful to everyone who attended and made this event a success, and we look forward to more exciting activities in the future.
On 8th April 2024 Students from the UMD, UMBC, and AACC recently visited the State House in Annapolis, Maryland, for an educational and memorable experience. During their visit, they had the unique opportunity to witness a spectacular solar eclipse, observing the celestial event with special eclipse glasses outside the historic State House. In addition to this awe-inspiring sight, the students observed live floor proceedings, gaining firsthand insight into the legislative process as they watched legislators debate and vote on various bills. Engaging discussions with state legislators and officials provided further educational value, offering a deeper understanding of public service challenges and responsibilities. This visit combined the wonder of natural phenomena with practical learning about state governance, leaving students with a greater appreciation for civic engagement and the workings of state government.
