Mission
The Recruitment Team's (RT) mission is to strengthen the MSL community by increasing membership and fostering a culture of leadership and active participation among students across Maryland. We aim to ensure that every school in Maryland is aware of MSL and has the opportunity to participate.
35th Annual Session
Background
The Recruitment Team project was initiated to address the need for greater representation and participation across Maryland's student communities within the MSL. The project was started by the Council of State, with active involvement from the Governor, Lt. Governor, and a team of dedicated members. Our goal is to ensure that every school in Maryland is aware of the opportunities MSL offers, fostering a diverse and active student leadership community.
Impact
Our project is significantly impacting students' lives by providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills, engage in meaningful legislative processes, and connect with like-minded peers. Through our recruitment efforts, we are creating a more inclusive and empowered student body that is better equipped to advocate for their communities and drive positive change across the state.

Leader and main communicator of the Recruitment Team. Responsible for scheduling team meetings and crafting agendas while implementing the recruitment strategies set by the Governor and Lt. Governor.

Kate Weir
Acts as the secondary point of contact for the Recruitment Team and assists the Recruitment Lead. Fills in for the Recruitment Lead in their absence.
